Workers attempt to empty a tractor trailer as it lies jackknifed on the rocks several feet from the waters of Lake Champlain Monday afternoon. Scott Bachard, a patrolman with the Rouses Point Police Department, said the driver likely fell asleep at the wheel around 5 a.m. Monday in Rouses Point and veered off Lake Street near Stewart's Shop, jumping the curb. The driver, who wasn't hurt, was hauling processed dry milk to Swanton, Vt. Crews had to drain the gas tank, which was lodged between large rocks and the cabin, in case it ruptured while the truck was pulled out. (P-R Photo/Gabe Dickens)
