Robert Stribling, DRC-19 manager for FEMA, works on applications in a roving disaster assistance center Friday at the Mooers Volunteer Fire Department. The center will be set up through Sunday before moving to the Town of Plattsburgh Town Hall, where hours are scheduled for 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. Anyone with damage from Tropical Storm Irene who may be seeking assistance should stop in and see what opportunities are available. Speak with someone face to face from FEMA, the Small Business Administration and several New York state offices to assist with the recovery.
