About 340 people participated in the second-annual Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma walk Sunday morning at Beekmantown Town Hall Park in memory of Randy Edward Duprey, who lost a battle with the disease in January of 2009. The chronic autoimmune disease results in an overabundance of collagen, causing a hardening of the skin, which can affect the organs in more advanced cases.
