The tournament honors the memory and spirit of Tanneberger, and, along with a golf tournament in his name, provides a $2,000 scholarship to a graduating senior that demonstrates academic and athletic excellence. Additionally, $250 is awarded to an alternate graduate. In addition to four men's games, there was a women's game, three biddy basketball games for different ages, and foul shooting and 3 point competitions. The Westport Volunteer Fire Department also held a spaghetti dinner. Unlike the past, when teams were picked by the decades in which they graduated, this year the teams were evened out.
